X-TRAIL's active head restraints provide additional protection against serious injury from the effects of whiplash for driver and front seat passenger.

The rear center headrest not only adds a sense of class but also improves safety.

For further passive safety and enhanced structural rigidity, the X-TRAIL has been designed with a rigid passenger safety cell, reinforced B-pillars and body sills, as well as anti-intrusion beams in the front and rear doors. It helps reduce noise and helps improve handling and durability.
